How it is made
The Chocolate Chip Sourdough starts with bread flour, water, salt, and my own active sourdough starter, with plenty of chocolate chips folded in. It’s naturally leavened, so it gets its rise from the starter alone. Then it’s shaped by hand and baked until the crust is golden and the chocolate is melty. The result is a soft, chewy loaf with a gentle tang and chocolate in every slice.
